Within 24 hours of your payment, you will receive a username and password for your new hosted database via email.

Using ASM Online

Visit sheltermanager.com/my/ and enter your sheltermanager.com username and password. Follow the link to ASM Online at the top of the page.

Using the My Account tool, you can add more usernames and passwords for shelter staff and volunteers so you don't have to give them your sheltermanager.com username and password (and you can revoke them later if necessary).

The My Account tool will also give you the link to your ASM Online to pass on to staff and volunteers.

Using an installed ASM

1. Download and install Animal Shelter Manager. ASM will run on any computer platform and you can freely mix different operating systems on your database if you have MacOS, Windows and Linux/UNIX users. Note that you will need ASM version 2.7.0 or newer.

2. Start up ASM and it will ask where your data is located, choose "sheltermanager.com" from the dropdown and enter your sheltermanager.com username and password.

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each computer you would like to use your sheltermanager.com database.

If you already have an ASM installation with a database, then you can use your sheltermanager.com database by selecting "Switch Database" from the Preferences menu after starting your ASM and then following step 2.

All new databases have security reset. The default user name and password to log in to ASM is "user" and "letmein".
